Connect2car’s new Anywhere app makes your Blackberry a high tech car remote.

The new Anywhere remote car control app is now available for all Blackberry phones.
This app comes loaded with many car features, like car lock and unlock, windows up and down, engine start and stop. The app even has a security feature which allows the user to shut down the car remotely in the event of unauthorized use or theft of the vehicle.

Other great features includes a car finder mode with a moving map display, which allows the owner to instantly find the location of the vehicle via GPS tracking, a special car finder mode provides driving directions to the car if its far away, and a parking lot mode points directions to the car in a parking lot.

A security interface manages all the security features of the car, like alarm alerts, unauthorized tow alerts, bump alerts via a built in sensor which comes in handy in inner cities when another car bumps into your parked car.

The App displays vehicle security alerts on your Blackberry homescreen when ever the is a vehicle security alert and vibrates or sounds the alarm on your phone depending on your alert settings. All commands you send to the vehicle also respond with a confirmation notification telling you the vehicle has performed the command. The confirmations also include street address location as well as date and time of when and where the vehicle received the command.

The app works with Connect2Car’s Anywhere G2 or G1 system installed in the car via Connect2Car authorized installers listed on the website. The anywhere G1 which is the base system starts at $299 and installation costs about $100. The system allows your phone to communicate with your car from Anywhere through a GSM cellular network and requires a service fee starting at $9.99/month for the basic plan.
