The kit package includes the main unit, a discrete GPS and GPRS antenna, 16-pin vehicle installation harness and an optional audio cable (for mic in and speaker out).

The Optional Audio (Mic in/Speaker out) and Serial cable gives you live audio with the vehicle. The serial output provides standard NMEA GPS output for use with any GPS moving map navigation device (e.g. a PDA or laptop PC)
Anywhere control panel for the iPhone and other web enabled mobile devices. From your phone, you can send commands via Text Message directly to your vehicle, or you can use your phone web browser. You can also load the Connect2Car control application unto your phone. Visit www.connect2car.com/mobile to download the application unto your phone.
From your phone, you can view real time status of your vehicle location. You can also set security fences around your most visited zones. Your car alerts you when it moves in or out of those zones. On request, the G2 unit also sends you text alerts with the street address of the last known location of the vehicle.
The Connect2Car Anywhere GSM kit is compatible with any existing factory or aftermarket alarm system. It monitors your siren output or any other 12V output trigger. When the siren/trigger is activated, it sends a text message notification to your cell phone (as well as other people you add on your notification list). This enables you to turn any existing car alarm into a dynamic alarm pager system. You can also get this feature by adding an alarm or remote starter kit to your order by selecting add on options above

How does it work?
- The Connect2Car unit is installed in your Car

Is my phone compatible?
The ANYWHERE software is compatible with most phones. Motorolla, Samsung, Nokia, Sony Ericsson, BlackBerry, Iphone, Pocket PC, Windows mobile(smartphone and PPC edition), Palm OS phones, e.t.c See download page here. If your phone has a mobile browser, you can also control it from the mobile browser interface, and last of all, you can send text messages directly to the unit using the commands described here. (only if your phone number is on the authorized list) .

I have an Alarm already, will it work with my Alarm?
Yes it works with any existing factory or aftermarket Alarm, to monitor your alarm siren. If your alarm goes off, the Connect2Car unit, notifies you on your phone.(You can also add other phone numbers and emails to the notification list)
For alarms with an arm/disarm trigger input, the Connect2Car ANYWHERE unit can also arm and disarm the Alarm system. e.g Factory Alarms, Omega, Compu star e.t.c

I have a Remote Starter already, is it compatible?
It is compatible with any Remote starter that has a TRIGGER TO START input. The ANYWHERE unit triggers to remote starter to initiate the startup of vehicle. We also carry compatible Remote Starters in our online store.

How does the system communicate with me?
The unit tracks your GPS location using free available GPS satellite information
The unit transmits your location information to you via any available GSM cell phone network
The unit also responds to your commands and gives you vehicle status via any available GSM cell phone network

What software do I need to get on my phone?
You will need the Anywhere Control Software to control the unit. The software requires an sms(text) or data connection to communicate.
To view live gps mapping on your phone, you will need the Anywhere mapping software. Your phone must have an active data connection for the mapping software to work

Can I control my air-conditioner with the Connect2Car unit?
You can leave the airconditioner switch on when you shut off the vehicle so that when you Remote start, the airconditioner will cool/heat to the desired temperature.

This is the fastest method of installing the software. Point your phones browser to www.connect2car.com/mobile and follow the DOWNLOAD ANYWHERE Mapping link from there. Installation should automatically start on any java enabled phone.
PC Download
Transfer the jar/jad files from the download link onto your phone and run any one of them. The most starndard method is to transfer it via bluetooth to your phone, or via the data cable(if applicable to your phone). Also you can transfer it via infrared if applicable.

Depending on your provider, some phones already come with this preloaded. If it doesn't, follow the instructions in our Windows Mobile/Pocket PC Installation Manual. Remember, you can always use the mobile browser version also.
Palm OS Phones
Either point your phone browser to www.connect2car.com/mobile/track or download the Anywhere software and load unto your phone. Now your phone will need to have a java application manager. Depending on your provider, some phones already come with this preloaded. If it doesn't, follow the instructions in our Palm OS installation Manual. Remember, you can always use the mobile browser version also.
